Begin your adventure by meeting your local guide and hopping into a jeep. Head to Kjaran’s Avenue, a one-way jeep track carved into the mountainside. Admire the mountain looming above you and the steep cliff falling below you at a sheer, nearly vertical angle down to the ocean.

Continue across the stony beach of Skútabjörg with its treacherous ocean tides. Take in the incredible road construction and the incomparable scenery en route.

Visit Kaldbakur, the highest mountain in Westfjords. Weather and road conditions permitting, hike up to the top and enjoy the view. Alternatively, take the old winding main road through Hrafnseyrarheiði, which is closed for 6-8 months every year due to snow.

Make various stops along the way and enjoy refreshments.
