Bath After Dark: The Finders Trial - An Immersive Adventure｜United Kingdom

Your adventure begins after sunset, when you meet Agatha Trueblood, ninth-generation Finder of Stories, at the Queen Victoria Penfold Post Box in the heart of Bath.

It has been reported to the Time Walkers Guild that you may have more than a spot or two of Finder blood in your family line — and so you must be tested to discover whether you, too, possess the rare and elusive Gift of Finding.

Before setting off, you’ll make your mark on the Time Walkers Guild’s register with a quill and learn more about Finders: those magical beings, neither living nor dead, bound to no single time, possessing the gift to Find. Some are Finders of lost treasure, others lost people, and some lost stories, such as Agatha.

Then the testing begins.

Using an ancient map of Bath and curious objects from another time, Agatha will challenge a volunteer to find a lost story. What they discover — and how they discover it — will set the course for the adventure.

From there, your choices, instincts and discoveries will guide the journey as you and Agatha weave through Bath’s historic streets, hidden corners, atmospheric alleyways and mysterious stairways, crossing the invisible lines between past and present in search of stories lost to time, waiting to be found.

Strange, sorrowful, scandalous and sometimes downright spine-tingling, these are stories meant for you and you alone.

Your 90 minute adventure covers approximately 1.5 miles, taking you to places other tours do not go and finishes outside Bath Abbey. The route includes cobbled and uneven streets, some steep steps and plenty of stops along the way.

The adventure takes place in all weather, so come prepared for the conditions. Comfortable flat shoes and warm clothing are recommended.

By the time you reach Bath Abbey, the tests will be complete.

And Agatha will know who among you truly possesses the Gift of Finding.
