Hello, everyone!
Discover the most beautiful side of the Olympic Park with me, a true Munich local. Look forward to exciting stories about the 1972 Olympic Games, fascinating architecture, BMW Welt, hidden details, and one of the most impressive views over Munich.
We meet at the **Kiosk Stadler** directly at the **Olympiazentrum (U3)** U-bahn station. From there, we will begin our leisurely walk to the impressive BMW Welt. There will be plenty of time here for a quick look inside before we continue on our way into the Olympiapark.
Passing the Olympic Tower and along the Olympic Lake, we will reach the Olympic Hill. The roughly 65 meters of elevation gain are rewarded with a spectacular 360-degree panorama. From here, we overlook the entire Olympic Park, the Munich skyline, and – if visibility is good – even the Alps with Germany's highest peak, the Zugspitze.
We then walk past the iconic Olympic Stadium, talk about the origins of the park and the 1972 Olympic Games, and visit the memorial site of the Olympic attack. Even today, the extraordinary Olympic Village tells exciting stories that remain hidden from many visitors.
During the tour, we'll take a look behind the scenes of the Olympic Park again and again and discover details that are easily overlooked on your own. Instead of dry annual figures, you can expect entertaining anecdotes, interesting background information, and personal insights from a native of Munich.
Finally, we will return to our starting point in a relaxed manner. Of course, along the way, I will also share my personal tips for restaurants, beer gardens, vantage points, and other highlights, so that you can experience Munich like a local even after the tour.
