This isn't a tourist attraction or a staged folklore performance. It's a genuine invitation into the everyday life of a local Montenegrin family who have lived from this land for generations.
Leaving the coast behind, we'll travel through rolling countryside towards a hidden family household near Cetinje. Along the way, I'll share the stories that shaped Montenegro—its royal past, mountain traditions, old customs and the way people learned to live between harsh nature and powerful empires.
When we arrive, you won't simply watch village life—you'll become part of it.
Depending on the season and the day's activities, you may help harvest vegetables, dig potatoes, gather onions, work in the garden, visit the vineyards, learn how local honey is produced or simply spend time with the family while discovering what everyday life really looks like outside the tourist routes.
The farm is home to horses, donkeys, chickens, ducks and bees, all cared for the same way they have been for generations. There is no fixed script here—every visit is slightly different because real life on a farm changes from day to day.
If you'd like, you'll also have the opportunity to join your hosts while preparing a traditional homemade meal using ingredients grown just a few metres from the kitchen. More than lunch, it's a chance to exchange stories, recipes and laughter around the family table.
Throughout the day, I'll translate conversations, explain local traditions and share the stories, legends and customs that have been passed from generation to generation but rarely appear in guidebooks.
There are no crowds, no souvenir shops and no rush—just authentic hospitality, peaceful landscapes and the simple rhythm of rural Montenegro.
