In Arenal, join a guided sloth tour to spot these gentle creatures among trails alive with tropical birds, reptiles, and other wildlife. Travel to Monteverde via a scenic boat ride across Lake Arenal, then experience the cloud forest from a completely different perspective on a guided night walk, where nocturnal animals and glowing insects bring the jungle to life. This tour combines wildlife encounters, serene landscapes, and immersive nature experiences for a truly memorable journey.

Day 1: Arenal Arrival
Arrive in La Fortuna, where lush landscapes and the iconic Arenal Volcano welcome you. After check-in, enjoy free time to relax in the hotel’s thermal pools, stroll through tropical gardens, or explore the town’s restaurants, markets, and shops. Overnight in Arenal.
Day 2: Arenal: Sloth Tour
Today, enjoy a guided sloth observation walk through forest trails, botanical corridors, and reforested areas rich in Cecropia trees. Learn about the local ecosystem with a naturalist guide and spot both two- and three-toed sloths in their natural habitat. Along the way, you may also see birds, frogs, reptiles, insects, and small mammals. After the tour, return to your hotel and enjoy a free afternoon to relax or explore La Fortuna. Overnight in Arenal.
Day 3: Arenal – Monteverde
After breakfast, travel to Monteverde via a scenic land-and-lake crossing. Drive to Arenal Lake, then enjoy a one-hour boat ride with stunning views of the volcano and surrounding hills. Continue by land into Monteverde’s cloud forest. In the evening, join a guided night walk to discover nocturnal wildlife such as kinkajous, frogs, insects, and other forest creatures. Overnight in Monteverde.
Day 4: Departure Monteverde
Enjoy breakfast and a relaxed morning to explore or unwind before continuing to your next destination (transfer not included).
