Day 1: Arrival and Historic Gjirokastër

Arrive in Gjirokastër, check in at your hotel, and have breakfast or a coffee in the historic center. Explore the impressive hilltop castle, including its courtyards, towers, museum collections, and panoramic views over the Drino Valley.

Walk through the historic bazaar, explore traditional stone buildings, handicraft shops, souvenir stores, and local cafés. Enjoy traditional Gjirokastër cuisine at a local restaurant.

Visit one of the city's best-preserved traditional Ottoman-era houses and learn about local architecture and family life. Explore this beautifully preserved historic mansion and enjoy views over the old town.

Relax at a café in the Old Bazaar. Walk through the old stone streets and enjoy the evening atmosphere. Enjoy a traditional dinner featuring regional Albanian dishes.

Day 2: Ancient History and Blue Eye

Take a morning excursion to Antigonea, an ancient Greek city founded in the 3rd century BC. Explore the archaeological remains and enjoy views over the surrounding countryside. Return toward Gjirokastër and enjoy lunch in or around Gjirokastër.

Travel to the Blue Eye, one of southern Albania's most spectacular natural attractions. Walk through the forest and see the intensely blue natural spring. Spend time around the spring and enjoy the surrounding landscape.

Return to Gjirokastër and relax at your hotel or explore the Old Bazaar at your own pace. Enjoy another evening of traditional cuisine.

Day 3: Përmet and Thermal Springs

Take a scenic drive through southern Albania toward Përmet. Explore the town center and enjoy views of the surrounding mountains. Visit the famous natural rock formation overlooking Përmet and take photographs.

Try local specialties and regional products. Continue to the Bënjë Thermal Baths, where you can relax in the natural hot-water pools surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery.

Take a short walk around the spectacular Lengarica Canyon and enjoy the natural landscape. Return to Gjirokastër and spend the evening exploring the bazaar, shopping for souvenirs, or relaxing at your hotel.

Day 4: Traditional Villages and Departure

Explore the countryside around Gjirokastër and visit traditional villages with stone houses and mountain views. Visit a family-run workshop or local producer, where available, to experience regional crafts and cuisine.

Return to the Old Bazaar for last-minute shopping, photographs, and coffee. Enjoy your final hours in the historic center before departing Gjirokastër for your next destination.
