Chengdu: Qingcheng Mountain, Dujiangyan & Sichuan opera Tour｜China

Begin your day with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Chengdu. Travel to the Dujiangyan Irrigation System, a 2000-year-old engineering marvel that still functions today. Explore Lidui Park, the Three Main Projects, and Erwang Temple with your guide, learning about the ancient hydraulic wisdom that shaped Chengdu’s fertile plains.

Next, head to Guanxian Old Town Food Street for a lunch break. Try local dishes such as Zhazha noodles, onion rolls, or tofu pudding (at your own expense). Your guide will provide location suggestions and translation help.

After lunch, drive to Qingcheng Mountain, the birthplace of Taoism. Ascend the mountain and visit key spots like the Natural Painting Studio, Tianshi Cave, and Shangqing Palace. Walk through quiet trails and streams, breathing in the fresh mountain air.

In the evening, return to Chengdu and head to a Sichuan Opera performance. Watch a 1-hour show featuring face-changing, fire-spitting, and rolling lamp performances. After the show, take photos with the performers and enjoy an optional costume experience (at your own expense). Finally, return to your hotel in Chengdu.
