Product Info

A Didi taxi will pick you up from your hotel lobby and take you to meet your host at the designated spot. Taxi car plate will be noted in advance. Then, your host will show you around the local community before heading to a local Xi'an family home to learn how to make dumplings, a traditional Chinese delicacy.

Follow your host to prepare the fillings and roll out dumpling wrappers, and practice folding dumplings together. Besides this, stretching hand-pulled belt noodles is more challenging and fun than making dumplings. Take a roughly 10-centimeter section of dough, and slowly pull it into a ribbon-like noodle strip as long as two meters. Feel the elasticity and softness of the dough, and savor all the joy and delight of cooking. After cooking, enjoy the homemade meal with your host. You may also try local liquor, beer, or regional beverages.

Share the meal and daily stories with your host. Experience the lifestyle and dining etiquette of an ordinary urban Chinese family. After the meal, sip tea and chat while learning Chinese tea culture. Feel free to exchange stories and experiences with each other.

Upon completion, your host will arrange a taxi for you to return to your hotel on your own.
