༄Enjoy both a traditional kimono (or yukata in summer) and an authentic matcha experience in Kyoto. In a beautifully renovated townhouse, learn about the tea ceremony and whisk your own bowl of matcha.༄
■Start at MK Kimono Rental Miyako Miyabi, only 1 minute from Kyoto Station.
Everything you need is included: kimono (or yukata in summer), obi belt, socks, shoes, bag, and innerwear. Men also receive a haori jacket in winter. Free luggage storage is available.
■After getting dressed, take a private taxi to Ichinenzaka 362 Café, near Kodaiji Temple. In a tatami room of the renovated townhouse, you’ll watch a short tea performance, then whisk frothy matcha yourself and enjoy your very own bowl of tea.
■English-speaking staff will guide you throughout, so even first-time visitors can relax and enjoy.
■After enjoying the tea, stroll through the timeless streets near Kiyomizu-dera wearing a kimono and capture unforgettable photos among Kyoto’s traditional shops and wooden houses.
■You can change and return kimono at the same location where you enjoyed the matcha or go back to Kyoto station (not included in the price) and change there.
