Your guide knows how to navigate these bustling mornings to ensure you get a great viewing spot and a full understanding of the event.

The guide will enrich your experience by sharing insights into the centuries-old traditions of the Papacy and the ceremony you are about to witness. As His Holiness Pope Leo XIV greets the crowd and takes the stage, blessings are delivered, hymns are sung, and reflections are shared in multiple languages. With the background provided by your guide, each element of the event takes on a richer significance.

  • Please refer to your voucher for final information regarding meeting points, pick-up locations, and pick-up time

  • Meeting point description: Please meet in front of Santa Maria in Traspontina. The coordinator will be wearing a blue polo shirt or jacket at the meeting point for easy recognition.(Via della Conciliazione, 14c, 00193 Rome RM, Italy)

  • Not suitable for:Guests with reduced mobility

  • Not allowed:No bare shoulders or knees. An appropriate dress code is required to attend the Papal Audience

  • Large bags, tripods, umbrellas, and backpacks are prohibited inside the Vatican. Any such items must be checked into the free luggage storage area which may result in your having to leave the tour early to retrieve them at the entrance

  • Pushchairs or strollers

  • Know in advance:This tour includes free Papal Audience tickets. In addition to reserving and picking up tickets for you, the guide will provide expert insight into the history and traditions of the Papacy and this ceremony, as well as navigate you through the crowds to find the best available seating

  • The maximum group size is 25 people

  • You must arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the tour begins

  • Depending on the time of year the location of the Papal Audience may vary. During the warmer months from approximately Easter week to the end of September, the Papal Audience is held outdoors at St. Peter’s Square whereas during the colder months, the Audience takes place in the Sala of Paul VI within the Leonine Walls of Vatican City. The decision regarding the location of the Papal Audience is made by Vatican officials the day before the event

  • On Wednesdays, due to the Papal Audiences, access to St Peter's Basilica is not possible until 1 pm
