German guided walking tour in the Castle District Budapest｜Hungary

We’ll start the tour at the former Royal Palace and discover how the small hill on the Buda side of the Hungarian capital developed into the royal city of Hungary.

During the guided tour, we’ll walk from the palace straight through the government district with its old and partly restored buildings.

Next comes Parade Square, which also marks the start of the civic quarter – here we’ll explore the centuries-old residential buildings and learn about the stories and legends of their inhabitants.

During the walk, we’ll also pass by the castle catacombs, see Budapest’s oldest café and finally reach Trinity Square with the historic St Matthias Church.

The tour culminates with a stunning view of the city from the Fisherman’s Bastion.
