At Kanpu Ceramic Arts Center, we regularly hold pottery classes where visitors can casually experience the joy of "handcrafting" and "twisting clay." We offer a variety of pottery-making experiences, from everyday pottery to authentic Bizen ware. We can accommodate groups of 100 or more people. We offer several courses, so you can choose one that suits your experience and schedule.
Limited time only ♪ Bizen ware
This limited-time pottery-making experience, featuring Okayama's traditional craft, Bizen ware, is available from August to December! The clay amount is 500g. You can enjoy making your favorite piece, such as a teacup. When you think of Okayama, you think of Bizen ware, and this course is very popular with tourists! *The pottery is usually taken out of the kiln around early March of the following year.

*The finished piece will be taken out of the kiln and delivered to you around early March of the following year. *If you use courier service to deliver the piece after it has been taken out of the kiln, an additional shipping fee will be charged. If you come to collect the piece directly from the hall, there will be no shipping fee.

By car: Approximately 7 minutes from Oku IC on the Okayama Blue Line toward Ushimado. By other means: From Oku Station on the JR Ako Line, take the Tobi Bus bound for Ushimado (approximately 10 minutes), get off at Ozu stop, and walk for approximately 20 minutes. Approximately 10 minutes by taxi from Oku Station on the JR Ako Line.
