The Taichung Aquarium, with the 'Kuroshio Sea' as the journey's finale, presents a magnificent and diverse marine ecosystem. From the deep blue wonders of the Kuroshio warm current to the only 360-degree coral tank in Taiwan, an open penguin area, and an immersive shark exhibit, it showcases abundant vitality. The jellyfish exhibit features the largest display tank in the country along with interactive projections, creating a dreamlike experience. Additionally, there are artificial wetlands and intertidal zone displays that recreate natural habitats such as mangroves and garden eels, allowing visitors to explore the life journey from mountains to the sea with all five senses and experience the mysteries of the ocean and the beauty of its ecology.

    1. Travelers must present their ID at the Taichung Aquarium ticket counter to redeem their admission ticket for the day. The ticket is valid only on the THSR departure date; failure to redeem it by the deadline will be considered a forfeiture.
    2. Concession tickets are for children over 115cm and aged 6 and above, as well as university, master's, and doctoral students. Senior and disability tickets are for those aged 65 and over. Original valid identification must be presented for verification upon entry. Failure to provide such documentation will result in the requirement to purchase a full-price ticket. Relevant regulations are subject to the official website of the aquarium.
    3. Children under 115cm or under 6 years old are exempt from purchasing an aquarium ticket.
    4. Daily opening hours are 09:30-17:30 (closed every Tuesday). From July to August, it is open daily from 09:00-18:00 (no closures). The last entry is 1 hour before closing. Any changes are subject to announcements on the official Taichung Aquarium website.

  • Notes:
    1. To maintain a high-quality visiting experience, the aquarium has safety capacity controls. Please purchase tickets online in advance and enter during your designated time slot.
    2. Flash photography is strictly prohibited inside the exhibition halls. Do not tap on display tanks, cross over tank barriers, or feed the animals without authorization. Do not enter non-public areas by crossing fences.

  • Adult: Passengers aged 12 and over must purchase this ticket.

  • Senior Ticket: Citizens aged 65 and over (based on the date of travel) who hold a National ID card or government-issued identification with a photo, ID number, and date of birth.

  • Disability Ticket: Citizens holding a disability certificate (pink). (The 'Necessary Companion Discount' field on the back of the certificate must state 'Domestic Public Transportation' to be eligible for a discount for one necessary companion.)

  • Child Ticket: Children under 12 may purchase a child ticket. However, children under 12 who are taller than 150 cm must present identification.

  • Free Child: Children under 115 cm, or children over 115 cm who can prove they are under 6 years old, may travel for free if they do not occupy a seat. (Those occupying a seat must purchase a child ticket.) Free children must be accompanied by an adult passenger, and each passenger is limited to two free children.

Q: Which train times can I choose?
A: You may choose any THSR train (please provide 3 preferred train times for both departure and return in the order remarks to assist our staff with booking). Please note that KKday cannot reserve train times or seats in advance; actual bookings depend on availability. If all provided train times are fully booked, you may select other times or opt for a full refund.

Q: How do I receive my THSR tickets?
A: Multiple collection methods available.
1. Mobile 'THSR T Express App' & 'Convenience Store' collection:
Enter 'Electronic Ticket' in the 'Detailed Address' field under 'Shipping Information' on the checkout page. The booking code and ticket collection ID will be provided on your order voucher.

2. Physical paper tickets:
Enter your shipping address in the 'Detailed Address' field under 'Shipping Information' on the checkout page. Tickets will be mailed to the designated address 7 days before departure after issuance (only available for addresses in Taiwan; overseas shipping is not available).
*Due to mailing times for physical tickets, all orders departing within 7 days of the booking date will be issued as 'Electronic Tickets'. Thank you for your understanding.

Q: When will I receive my tickets?
A: THSR bookings only open 29 days before the travel date. If your travel date is not within 29 days, we will book and mail your tickets after the booking window opens.

Q: We are two people; can we board/alight at different stations?
A: Passengers on the same order must use the same stations; boarding/alighting at different stations is not permitted.

Q: Can I change my boarding/alighting station?
A: THSR Holiday tickets are special package tickets with specific regulations for departure and arrival stations. For example, if you choose to depart from Taipei Station and stay at a hotel in Kaohsiung, the outbound ticket is Taipei to Zuoying, and the return ticket is Zuoying to Taipei. No refunds will be provided for alighting midway, and any travel beyond the designated stations must be paid for at the official THSR fare.

Q: Do you provide receipts for reimbursement?
A: We provide an electronic version of the travel agency's payment collection and transfer receipt (in the currency you paid). Please log in to your KKday account, go to 'Message Management', and provide your company title, tax ID number, and email address. The receipt will be sent to your email 3-5 days after the trip ends.


Purchase Notice

  • Once booked, dates, number of people, ticket type, room type, etc. cannot be changed. Please confirm the number of people and ticket specifications are correct before booking. Thank you for your understanding.
  • Seats on high-speed trains are automatically assigned by the system. We cannot guarantee seat continuity, nor can we specify seats or carriages. If you require consecutive seats, please indicate this in the remarks column. Actual seating arrangements are subject to the system's assignment results.
  • If you need to change your train/bus number, please contact KKday customer service 8 days before departure. Only one change is allowed. No changes will be accepted within 7 days of departure.
  • High-speed rail reservations open 29 days before departure. Orders can be placed up to 29 days in advance, but securing a seat cannot be guaranteed.
  • Because high-speed rail tickets can only be booked within 29 days (including the day of travel), if the 29th day falls on a Friday or Saturday, you can flexibly book tickets up to Sunday. If your travel date is beyond the booking period, the order processing staff will prioritize booking the train you need after booking opens, but the actual train availability will depend on the reply from the order processing staff.
  • The definition of a child varies depending on the itinerary, and any additional charges on-site are subject to the regulations of the service provider.
  • For children not occupying a bed, the price only includes insurance and administrative processing fees. If a high-speed rail ticket is required, it can be purchased when selecting the number of tickets. Any other additional costs must be borne by the customer on-site.
  • Children not occupying a bed: This means that the child does not occupy a bed. If you decide to have 2 children share a bed, please select 1 child + 1 child not occupying a bed; the maximum number of children not occupying a bed is 2 (for any additional restrictions on the number of children, please see the child definition description for each product). Children not occupying a bed do not include hotel meals, facility use and supplies.
  • Placing an order for a package does not mean the reservation is complete. A voucher will be issued after the order processing staff confirms the order and indicates that the order has been successfully placed. If you have any doubts, please do not place an order.

Reminders

  • Before ordering this product, please carefully read the ordering terms and conditions. For example, if you depart from Taipei Station and stay at a Kaohsiung hotel, your outbound ticket will be from Taipei to Zuoying, and your return ticket will be from Zuoying to Taipei. No refunds will be given for any stops beyond the designated destination. If you miss a stop, you will need to pay the difference in the official High Speed ​​Rail fare.

1. According to the regulations for high-speed rail holiday tickets, no refunds can be made for any single leg of the journey.
2. All ticket refunds must be handled by KKday. Ticket refunds and exchanges are not available at the ticket windows at any High Speed ​​Rail stations.
3. Note: Due to the High Speed ​​Rail holiday ticket regulations, if multiple people book the same ticket and need to cancel or exchange their tickets, they must process the refund or exchange together. - High-Speed ​​Rail Holiday Cancellation Policy -

  • If you need to cancel an order, please contact KKday customer service first.
  • Due to administrative time constraints, the cancellation policy will be based on the text below KKday. Order cancellation requests will only be accepted between 08:30 and 16:00 daily. Requests submitted after this time will be considered deferred for one day.
  • If you have already issued a high-speed rail ticket, an additional cancellation fee of NTD20 per ticket will be charged (round-trip tickets count as 2 tickets)
  • Free cancellation for more than eight days before departure (excluding departure date)
  • If you notify us of changes or cancellations within seven to four days before the departure date (excluding the departure date), a cancellation fee of 30% of the total amount will be charged.
  • If you notify us of any changes or cancellations within three days before the departure date (excluding the departure date), a cancellation fee of 70% of the total amount will be charged.
  • If you notify us of changes or cancellations on the departure date, a cancellation fee of 100% of the total amount will be charged.
  • (For example, if you depart on 12/8 and change or cancel your order before 11/30, you will be charged a free cancellation fee. If you change or cancel your order between 12/1 and 4, you will be charged a 30% handling fee. If you change or cancel your order between 12/5 and 7, you will be charged a 70% handling fee.)
