－ About the Venue －
Located in the historic alleys of Tainan, specifically Gonghou Street, the Yongle-cho Drum Tea House sits on a street that has existed since the Qing Dynasty and the Japanese colonial era. Spanning 80 meters, it was a vital hub during the peak of the Five Channels era 300 years ago. Yongle-cho Drum Tea House is a refined shop full of unique charm, featuring highly innovative styles, moving performances, a one-of-a-kind historical space, and meticulously planned decor. This immersive, time-traveling experience makes it a professional theater, a tea house, and a perfect gathering spot for art lovers. The 'Drum Tea House ~ Da Zui Gu' performance uses storytelling, comedy, and percussion to recount Tainan legends and local folklore, allowing you to experience the atmosphere of dining while watching a show in the old days, while gaining a deeper understanding of the history of Tainan's old town.
