The National Palace Museum is a museum located in Taipei, Taiwan. Originally situated at the Forbidden City in Beiping (present-day Beijing), Republic of China, almost all of its artifacts were transported to Taiwan by order of Chiang Kai-shek in 1948 during the Chinese Civil War. They were temporarily stored in Taichung and other locations before reopening in Taipei on November 12, 1965, where they remain to this day. The museum consists of one basement level and three floors above ground.

The Palace Museum houses an enormous collection of approximately 700,000 artifacts encompassing the entirety of Chinese history. With the exception of major exhibits such as the Jade Cabbage, Cuiyu Bai Cai, and Rouxing Si (which resembles Dongpo Pork), the collection rotates every three to six months; it is said that it would take about 20 years to view everything. [National Palace Museum Tour]

1 person: NT$400 (entrance ticket NT$350 + receiver rental fee NT$50) - Please pay in NT$400 to the guide on site on the day of the tour.
The museum tour is conducted using a wireless receiver. This product does not include admission fees. Please pay the admission fee of 350 Taiwanese won per person and the receiver rental fee of 50 Taiwanese won per person in cash to the guide on the day of the tour.
Those under 18 years of age must pay the tour fee and receiver rental fee, only the museum entrance fee is not charged, a passport is required for age verification, and participation is not permitted if the number of people has not been purchased.
Docent tours are free for children under 24 months. Adult and child tours are the same price.
The National Palace Museum docent tour does not include travel insurance. Accidents caused by personal negligence are not covered. Any damage or loss of the receiver is the responsibility of the individual.
Strollers and wheelchairs can be rented using your passport. Please ask your guide.
