Take a relaxing trip through the Aberdeen Typhoon Shelter, where you can witness the daily lives of water villagers and immerse yourself in their lifestyle while enjoying views of the fishing port. The shelter serves as a refuge for fishermen and a home for those living on house boats. During the Lunar New Year and festivals like the Tin Hau Festival, various boats gather for celebrations and rituals. The Dragon Boat Festival also features races in this vibrant setting.
What’s Sampan? Sampan boat, handcrafted from wood, are the main transportation for fishermen and are recognized as part of Hong Kong's intangible cultural heritage.
After the boat tour, enjoy the famous authentic Lau Kee Boat Noodles on the Sampan. It is a very special local delicacy recognized by Korean Culinary Expert Beak Jong-Won. Freshly prepared by the locally renowned “Lau Kee Floating Kitchen” (Licensed Food Factory). Fish soup base with various toppings including chicken, duck and char siu.

What is a "sampan"? It is the main means of transportation for fishermen in Aberdeen Typhoon Shelter. The entire boat is handmade from wood. The wooden boat manufacturing skills have been included in the Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage List.

All tickets must be confirmed no less than 24 hours in advance; no rescheduling or refunds are allowed.
Any child (11 years old or below) must be accompanied by someone aged 18 years or above to participate.
Please arrive at the meeting point 10-15 minutes early. Latecomers will not be accommodated.
The journey takes about 1 hour.
Wheelchairs and strollers are not allowed during the tour
Please wear comfortable shoes. Please bring your own umbrella, sunglasses and sun oil if necessary.
Please use the equipment and utensils on the ship with caution and do not touch the exhibits.
The itinerary is for reference only, actual arrangements are subject to conditions on the day of departure.
Please take care of your personal belongings. Any loss or damage will be borne by the passengers themselves.
Passengers can purchase insurance by themselves if necessary.
If the passenger cancels or is absent before departure, all fees paid by the passenger will not be refunded, and the company will not be held responsible for this.
Extreme weather policy: If Typhoon Signal No. 3 or red or black rainstorm warning is still hoisted at 07:00 on the day of the trip, all morning trips (10:25 / 11:25 / 12:25 / 13:25) will be canceled and rescheduled. If the above warning signal is still hoisted at 11:00, all afternoon trips (14:25 / 15:25 / 16:25) will be canceled and rescheduled.
Issued in accordance with Section 13 of the subsidiary legislation Chapter 548 of the Laws of Hong Kong, the Merchant Shipping (Local Vessels) (Compulsory Third Party Risk Insurance) Regulation, our company has purchased third party accident insurance for the vessel sampan.
Under special circumstances beyond our control, such as bad weather, traffic accidents, special maritime traffic control, transportation breakdown, etc., when extra time is required and the itinerary is reduced or canceled, passengers cannot object to withdrawal with any excuse.
In the event of any disputes, Xiyou Discovery Co., Ltd. reserves the right to make the final decision on amending the terms and conditions.
Cancellation Policy
- Once the order has been completed, it cannot be canceled, modified, or refunded
- Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy. Once your refund request is confirmed, KKday will initiate the refund to your original payment method within 15 days. The actual refund timing depends on your card-issuing bank’s policy.
