Glide through a narrow estuary, surrounded by the lush ancient rainforest of the Okarito Kiwi Sanctuary, serenaded by the sounds of native birdsong. This exclusive experience provides access to a custom-built rainforest trail within the Okarito Kiwi Conservation area.
As you paddle and walk, you'll learn about kiwi conservation efforts, spot native birdlife, and explore the pristine wilderness of the West Coast near Franz Josef Glacier. - Please note that the minimum number of participants for this activity is 2. If this number is not met, the tour operator will be in touch with you
- Please meet the tour operator at the booking office address provided in the Location tab. Transport will be provided from the office to the Lake and back for each Lake Tour (approx 10 min drive each way)
- The tour operator provides guests with complete wet weather equipment to ensure they can paddle in all weather conditions
- It is recommended booking a morning tour with kids as the lake is the calmest in the morning
- The tour operates on rain days if the weather condition deems to be safe, feel free to contact the local knowledgeable team with numbers on the voucher for the most up to date forecast

- Cancellations 3 day(s) (inclusive) before the selected date are allowed. Unused orders can be canceled for free
- Cancellation is not allowed between 0–2 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
- Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy.
