• Anping Old Fort
  Formerly known as 'Fort Zeelandia' built by the Dutch, it is one of the oldest Western-style forts in Taiwan and an important witness to the history of Taiwan's port opening. The fort preserves red brick walls and cannon ruins, and features a white observation tower offering panoramic views of Anping Port. It is not only a key location in Taiwan's history books but also a must-visit spot for strolling, sightseeing, and learning about the history of Taiwan's ancient capital.
  
  
• Anping Old Street
  Known as 'Taiwan's First Street,' Anping Old Street was the first street established by the Dutch in Anping over 300 years ago. Early street designs were only intended for pedestrians and pushcarts, so the lanes are quite narrow. It is a must-visit for many tourists coming to Anping. The bustling crowds are a standard feature of Anping Old Street—it wouldn't feel like Anping Old Street without them. The street is lined with various old shops, and both domestic and international tourists can be seen weaving through the crowd in search of treasures. Occasionally, looking up at the old houses, you might spot Wind Lion Gods (Fengshiya) perched on the roofs or Sword Lions (Jianshi) above the doorways, which adds to the fun of exploring Anping Old Street. There are also many small alleys branching off from the main street, each leading to different scenery, such as Jasmine Lane or Rouge Lane. The area preserves many old settlements; walking through the quiet alleys feels like traveling back in time. • Hayashi Department Store
  The pride of Tainan and Taiwan's first modern department store, it was founded in 1932 during the Japanese colonial period. As the first building in Taiwan to have an elevator, it was nicknamed 'The Five-Story Building.' At the time, it was not just a shopping center but a symbol of trend and culture. Today, Hayashi Department Store blends historical architecture with a cultural and creative atmosphere, housing unique Taiwanese brands, crafts, souvenirs, and exquisite dining, allowing visitors to enjoy a retro vibe while shopping. Tourists from home and abroad flock here, waiting in long lines for a chance to board a bamboo raft into this wonderland. • Shennong Street
  One of the most nostalgic streets in Tainan, hailed as 'Tainan's most beautiful street.' It is lined with well-preserved century-old houses, blending red bricks, wooden windows, and arcades.   Tainan's most famous 'Food Street,' where countless time-honored snacks and popular queue-worthy shops are gathered within a few hundred meters. From beef soup and eel noodles to tofu pudding and shaved ice, it covers almost all of Tainan's iconic snacks. Tourists often say, 'A trip to Guohua Street is like eating through half of Tainan.' • Shuixian Market
  A daily culinary landmark for Tainan locals, known as the 'most authentic food paradise.' It gathers various traditional snacks and local ingredients, such as bowl rice cake (wa gui), rice cake (mi gao), milkfish dishes, and fish skin soup. Many stalls are on the 'must-eat' lists of Tainan locals. The market atmosphere is lively and down-to-earth, full of the charm of local street food.
  
  
• Jing-Zai-Jiao Tile-Paved Salt Fields
  Jing-Zai-Jiao Tile-Paved Salt Fields is the first salt field in Beimen and the oldest remaining tile-paved salt field site. Originally the Xiedong Salt Field during the Qing Dynasty, it was moved to this location in 1818 and has remained there ever since. It consists entirely of tile-paved salt fields, creating a beautiful art form resembling a mosaic. Due to high labor costs, the 338-year-old salt-making industry ended in 2002, leaving the salt fields abandoned for a period. Later, to preserve the salt industry culture, the salt fields were restored and have now become the most distinctive attraction along the Tainan coast.
