Pulau Shimoji-shima

Shimoji Island is located southwest of Irabu Island. It's a small island with an airport capable of handling international flights. The island is connected to Irabu Island by a bridge, allowing for easy access from Miyako Island by car via Irabu Island.

The best time to visit Miyako Island is from April to November. From late June to early July, the weather is clear, and sea conditions are excellent, making it suitable for beach activities and stargazing. If you wish to avoid crowds and enjoy lower travel costs, consider October to November. The climate is cool and comfortable, but be aware of the possibility of typhoons.
