उत्पाद जानकारी

Discover Nagoya through its food in this hands-on cooking experience. Make udon from scratch, explore Japan’s rich miso culture, and cook your own bowl of Nagoya’s famous Miso-Nikomi Udon.

Start by making your own udon noodles. Nagoya’s Miso-Nikomi Udon is made differently from regular udon — find out why during the class! Knead, roll, and cut the dough by hand, then prepare it for cooking.

While the dough rests, learn how to make authentic Japanese dashi from kombu (kelp) and bonito flakes. You’ll also enjoy a guided tasting of 6–9 varieties of Japanese miso, led by a certified Miso Sommelier. Discover how miso differs in color, aroma, flavor, and region, and learn why it is such an important part of Japanese food culture.

Next, use Nagoya’s famous red miso to make Miso-Nikomi Udon, one of the city’s signature dishes. Each guest cooks their own udon in a personal traditional clay pot, with authentic toppings. From making the noodles to preparing the dashi and cooking your own bowl, you’ll be involved in every step.

To finish, make and enjoy a light tofu dessert with matcha.

There’s no need to worry about getting everything perfect — just enjoy making, tasting, and sharing food together in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

This is more than a cooking class. It’s a chance to experience Nagoya through its food, learn about Japanese miso from a Miso Sommelier, and make something with your own hands that you can’t simply experience at a restaurant.

This experience was inspired by my own journey of living abroad for more than 10 years. While living overseas, I joined local cooking classes, learned traditional dishes, and discovered how food can connect people and cultures. I created this experience to share that same feeling with visitors to Japan.

Come cook, taste, learn, and share a meal — and take home a special memory of Nagoya.
