Your Astro 101 experience begins at the Visitor Center, where you’ll explore engaging exhibits that reveal the science and stories behind this renowned observatory and its groundbreaking research.

After a light meal, your knowledgeable docent will guide you through the basics of astronomy, helping you recognize stars, planets, and constellations as the sky darkens. Step outside to take in the vast, unspoiled night sky, using high-powered binoculars to spot celestial highlights and learn the skills of night sky navigation. Your guide will share tips for stargazing and answer your questions as you discover the wonders overhead.

The evening culminates with a special session inside one of the observatory domes, where you’ll have the chance to observe deep space objects through a professional telescope. Whether you’re a first-time stargazer or looking to deepen your understanding of the cosmos, this tour offers a friendly, hands-on introduction to the universe.
