Learn how the history of World War II intersects with everyday life, and how the personal dramas of individual people and victims overlap with the wider history of the Nazi regime. The original Enamel Factory, also known as Oskar Schindler's Deutsche Emailwarenfabrik, dates back to 1937 when it was established. When Nazi Germany invaded Poland on September 1 1939 it is believed that Oskar Schindler, a Sudeten German, arrived in Kraków on September 6 when German troops entered Kraków.
