Experience a high-altitude mountain expedition to Láscar Volcano, one of the most active and most visited volcanoes in the Atacama Desert. The adventure starts early, with pickup from your accommodation in San Pedro de Atacama at 5:00 AM, to take advantage of the best weather conditions and enjoy the sunrise on the high plateau.

We'll travel by 4x4 vehicle towards the mountain range, surrounded by unique landscapes, Andean fauna, and vast volcanic plains. Our first stop will be at Laguna Lejía, where you'll enjoy an energizing breakfast with stunning views of the volcanoes. There, we'll have an explanatory talk about the plan for the day: details of the ascent, pace, estimated times, rest stops, acclimatization tips, and security regulations.

We'll then continue to the base of the volcano (approx. 4,900 m), where the hike begins. We'll start the trek gradually, accompanied by expert guides, advancing along trails of ash and volcanic rock. During the ascent, you'll feel the energy of Láscar, observing active fumaroles and spectacular panoramic views of the salt flats and the mountain range. We'll reach the edge of the crater and, weather and group conditions permitting, continue to the summit, which is over 5,590 m above sea level.

After celebrating the conquest and taking photos, we will descend at a leisurely pace and return by vehicle to San Pedro, ending the activity around 5:00 PM at your accommodation. A complete, safe and challenging experience, ideal for those looking for high-altitude trekking, extreme nature and the thrill of conquering an active volcano in the heart of the Atacama.
