Your two days journey starts from Split and goes towards the first island-Brač. Third largest island in the Adriatic Sea and largest island in Dalmatia. On the island of Brač, there are numerous settlements, towns, and villages. Brač is mostly known for its amazing beach Zlatni rat in the town of Bol. Often listed as one of the top beaches in the world, Zlatni rat can be seen in almost any advertisement about Croatia. Beach itself is really long and attracts tourists to spend at least one day there if not the whole holiday. Brač is known for its highest peak of all islands in Croatia- Vidova Gora and some describe it as must-visit while on Brač. Island of Brač is known for its small villages, hidden bays, and some rocky, some pebbly, and some sandy beaches.
After the island of Brač, you will sail towards the island of Hvar- the sunniest island of all in Croatia. It is the most popular island in Croatia and is widely known worldwide. The island of Hvar offers everything you can possibly want when you go on holiday. It is located just below the island of Brač and next to the island of Korčula. The island of Hvar is covered in pine forests, vineyards, olive groves, and lavender fields. It even has its own freshwater springs. Agriculture is a really strong branch of the local economy, but tourism has taken a prime role in the last few decades and is a major contributor. Since the 2000s, Hvar has doubled a number of accommodation units, different types of restaurants, cafés, and marinas. Pebbly and sandy beaches are surrounded by pine forests. Wherever you decide to dock you will find a perfect, crystal clear, warm, and clean sea.
Thanks to several nightclubs, in the last few years nightlife in the town of Hvar, has grown immensely. No matter what week in the summer you arrive on the island, you can be sure that some famous artist will perform at that exact week. Parties last all night long throughout the summer. Young tourists outnumber others thanks to the popularity of summer clubs. However, this is not the only way to enjoy it, since there are many galleries, museums expositions, and events planned months before. The town of Hvar offers some of the best restaurants and bistros in Croatia. Great gourmet offers can literally be found on each corner because of high-quality ingredients with an emphasis on seasonal products and fabulous seafood.
Other municipalities include Jelsa, Stari Grad (Old Town), and Sućuraj. Some of the activities on the island of Hvar include visits to some of the many local wineries. Since there are many vineyards wine industry is strong. Tourists have recently discovered an annual lavender festival held in early summer (June).
