Begin your adventure with a visit to the National Museum of Qatar. Explore the old and first palace of the Royal family in Doha, built in the early 19th century. Discover the old-style rooms with iron rod windows, a groundwater well, and a waiting area for people in the past.
Next, visit the vintage car gallery, where you’ll see cars from the 1940s, 1960s, and 1970s, including a Ferrari. Marvel at the building’s design, inspired by the Desert Rose, which looks small from the outside but is a huge, mesmerizing structure inside.
Souq Waqif, where you’ll explore the Arabic perfume market, dedicated to perfume shops. Visit an Arabic clothing shop to see how to stitch clothes, including the Bisht, and how craftsmen craft the black head ring called Iqal, used on top of a white scarf for men.
Head to the carpet market to witness live carpet making on old machines. Then, visit Majlis Al Dama, a place where Qatari friends enjoy traditional Arabic coffee called "Qahwa" while playing a famous Arabic game Dama.
Next, explore the spice market, where you’ll see spices used in Arabic dishes, especially in Majboos, a famous Qatari dish. Discover herbs for tea and various kinds of incense. Take a round of Souq Waqif to see traditional old shops of souvenirs, including the big Kettle "Dallah" used to make Arabic coffee at weddings and other events.
Continue to Katara Cultural Village, the old name of Qatar, where you’ll see wooden huts on hills and the famous Blue Mosque. Visit inside the mosque and take pictures and videos. Then, head to the Galleries Lafayette, where your guide will explain about it.
The last stop in the city is Pearl Qatar, a man-made island, where you’ll see the Grand Pearl Mosque and stop at mini Venice in Qatar, with canals and bridges in a modern style, including a view of an iconic building of Qatar that looks like a half moon.
Finally, head to the desert, passing by the oil and gas fields of Qatar in the south. Stop at the camel pen to take pictures with camels or enjoy a ride while the driver deflates the tires to be ready for the desert drive.
Experience the thrill and adventure as the car climbs the first sandhill. After a 15 to 20-minute drive, stop at the first photo stop, Amiya Viewpoint, to take pictures. Then, drive to the next stop, "Tourist Point," where you can do sandboarding and take more photos.
After that, head to the inland sea beach, where you can take stunning photos with the beach view of the Saudi border. After spending 15-20 minutes there, drive to the prestigious Al Rahal Camp in the desert, where you can use the toilets, enjoy the private beach with sunbeds, a hammock, and shower rooms.
Relax in the camp rooms for an hour before traveling back to your location. In the camp, enjoy beach games like darts, table tennis, billiards, and beach volleyball. The rooms are dome tents with air conditioning, offering a luxurious experience in the desert.
