We'll leave from our starting point and head to the area where the turtles arrive and where they nest their eggs. • The main nesting season is from July 1 to October 15, with the green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas) being the most notable, as it has a peak of activity between June and October. The hawksbill sea turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata) can also be seen to a lesser extent between May and November, and occasionally the leatherback sea turtle (Dermochelys coriacea). The best time to see egg-laying is from July to the end of August. Meanwhile, the hatchlings emerge from August 15 to the end of September, and this can extend to mid-October.
