Dare to discover one of the most fascinating and little-known regions of South America on this full-day expedition into the heart of the Paraguayan Gran Chaco. Departing from Asunción at 4:00 a.m., we will travel to a completely different world: endless roads, untamed nature, vast skies, and unique communities built in the heart of the green desert.
Our adventure will take us to Filadelfia, the capital of the Central Chaco and a symbol of the Mennonite community in Paraguay. Here, you will learn how European immigrants transformed a hostile land into a modern, well-organized, and prosperous city. We will tour its main sights, discovering its history, distinctive architecture, and the lifestyle that makes this community unique in South America.
We will continue to Loma Plata, which is surrounded by open landscapes, fertile farmland, and the natural beauty of the Chaco. This town is remarkable for its development in the midst of a remote environment, where tradition, hard work, and respect for the land coexist in harmony. During the tour, you will be able to observe the typical flora of the Chaco, vast natural expanses, native birds, and the immensity of a region that has yet to be widely explored by international tourism.
You will have time for lunch in the area and to enjoy local products renowned for their quality, produced by the Mennonite cooperatives that made the Chaco a model of progress.
Throughout the day, you will enjoy an authentic experience that combines European culture, wild landscapes, and the most genuine essence of Paraguay. Each stop offers unique opportunities for unforgettable photographs: legendary trails, golden sunsets, endless horizons, and natural landscapes that seem to belong to another continent.
At the end of the day, we will return to Asunción, arriving in the evening after having explored one of the most remarkable areas in the country.
Ideal for curious travelers, adventure enthusiasts, and those looking to discover authentic, unique destinations off the beaten path. The Chaco is not visited; it is experienced.
