Kol Tor Lake & Burana Tower Day Trip From Bishkek｜Kyrgyzstan

Kol Tor is a stunning lake located in the Kegety Gorge, about 80 kilometers from Bishkek at an altitude of 2,700 meters above sea level. Nearby, there is an impressive mountain peak called "Sugar Loaf" that rises to more than 4,200 meters in height.

Description:
- Start your day with a pickup from your hotel in Bishkek and head to the Burana Tower, located 95 kilometers away. Upon arriving in Tokmak Village, we will visit the Burana Tower (built between the 10th and 11th centuries AD), which is considered one of the most well-preserved monuments from the pre-Mongol period.
Afterwards, we will transfer to Kegety Gorge.
- Once we arrive, we will begin a walking tour around the Kegety Gorge. The first part of the day will be dedicated to exploring this beautiful area, admiring the mountain views, and having lunch (not included) outside.
From here, we will go on a hike to Lake Kol-Tor.
- The hike to Kol Tor takes about 3-4 hours and has a medium level of difficulty, requiring some physical fitness. The trail goes through a giant pine forest and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. This lake has a unique turquoise color and is surrounded by high peaks, making it a very impressive and picturesque destination with a rich variety of flora and fauna.
- The rest of the day will be spent by the lake, taking in the scenery, swimming in the cold water (if you wish), or taking photos.
- At the end of the tour, when the day starts to come to an end, we return to the city.
