Your journey concludes at The First Pier of the Great Wall, where the Great Wall meets the edge of the Gobi Desert near a dried riverbed. This windswept site marks the western end of the Ming Great Wall and offers a powerful sense of isolation, history, and the vast landscapes that defined China’s ancient frontiers.
