Embark on a 7-day journey to the northernmost region of Mongolia and visit the nomadic Tsaatan reindeer-herding tribe. These reindeer herders live deep in the remote taiga forest and represent one of the most unique nomadic cultures in the world.

Day 1: Ulaanbaatar – Murun City /770km/

On the first day of the tour, we will head towards Mörön city, covering approximately 770 kilometers. As it will be a long journey, all travelers are kindly requested to have breakfast and be ready to depart by 6:00 a.m.
we will travel another 220 kilometers on a more challenging road.

Day 2: Murun City – White Lake Village (220km)

Tsagaan Nuur District is the northernmost district of Mongolia, home to the Tsaatan (Reindeer) people. It is located approximately 220 km from Mörön city and about 900 km from Ulaanbaatar, set in stunning, untouched natural scenery.

Day 3: White Lake Village – Reindeer Tribes (35 km)

(8:00am) After breakfast, we will drive 10 km to meet our horse guide, leave the car there, and continue the next 25 km on horseback. From this day onward, we will prepare our own meals. On this day as well, we will stop along the way, unload our supplies, and cook lunch on the road.

Day 4: Stay with the Reindeer Tribes

The Tsaatan are a small indigenous nomadic community living in the northernmost regions of Mongolia, primarily in the taiga and mountainous areas. They are traditionally reindeer herders, relying on their herds for transportation, milk, and cultural practices.

Day 5: Reindeer Tribes – White Lake Village (35km)

On the fifth day of the tour, we will leave the Tsaatan family and head towards Tsagaan Nuur District. We will wake up early in the morning, have breakfast, load our luggage onto the horses, and depart for the location where we left the vehicle.

Day 6: Murun City /220 km/

On the 6th day of the trip, we will depart from Tsagaan Nuur village and head towards Mörön city. The journey is quite rough and will take around 10 hours on average. On this day of the tour, we will also stop at the shore of Khovsgol Lake, Mongolia’s freshest and most pristine lake, for photos.

Day 7: Murun City - Ulaanbaatar / 770 km/

Today is the last day of our tour. After having breakfast, we will depart for Ulaanbaatar. We will stop for lunch at a local restaurant along the way and arrive in Ulaanbaatar around 3:00 p.m., where we will check into our hotel.
