Day 1: Addo Safari Kick-start your South Africa safari adventure with an early morning rise and a thrilling wildlife experience in Addo Elephant National Park. Enjoy a guided morning safari where you’ll search for elephants, lions, buffalo, and other incredible wildlife in one of the country’s most renowned national parks.

Later in the afternoon, continue the adventure with a sunset safari at Schotia Safaris Private Game Reserve, known for its exceptional close wildlife encounters and high chances of spotting lions and other members of the Big Five. This exhilarating game drive offers unforgettable moments as the African bush comes alive at sunset.
After your thrilling safari experience, return to the Addo area where you can relax and unwind after an exciting day of wildlife encounters in the Eastern Cape.

Day 2: Tsitsikamma National Park & Knysna Lagoon
After breakfast, travel along the scenic Garden Route to Tsitsikamma National Park, part of the spectacular Garden Route National Park. Explore the dramatic coastline and indigenous forests, and take a short walk to the famous Storms River Suspension Bridge for breathtaking ocean views. Continue the journey to Knysna where you will visit the beautiful Knysna Lagoon and admire the iconic Knysna Heads before enjoying free time at the waterfront. Overnight stay in Knysna. Optional adventure activities (not included) include the Bloukrans Bridge bungee jump or zip-lining in Tsitsikamma.

Day 3 & 4: Oudtshoorn & Cango Caves
Drive approximately 100 km to Oudtshoorn, known as the “Ostrich Capital of the World.” Visit a working ostrich farm focused on conservation and education to learn more about these fascinating birds. Continue to explore the spectacular Cango Caves, famous for their impressive limestone formations. The next day, travel through the breathtaking Swartberg Pass, one of South Africa’s most scenic mountain passes offering dramatic landscapes and panoramic views.

Overnight: Oudtshoorn & Mossel Bay

Day 5: Cape Agulhas, Penguins & Hermanus
Journey approximately 400 km along the scenic coast to Cape Agulhas, the southernmost tip of Africa where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. Continue to Stony Point Nature Reserve to see a protected colony of African Penguin in their natural habitat. Travel onward to Hermanus, internationally famous for land-based whale watching during season, before returning to Cape Town or Stellenbosch in the evening.
