Experience the highlights of Naples’ surroundings on this full-day guided tour, combining the ancient ruins of Pompeii, local craftsmanship, and the volcanic landscape of Mount Vesuvius. Your day begins with morning pickup from your selected meeting point in Naples. Your tour leader will accompany you throughout the day, providing assistance, answering questions, and sharing local insights during the transfers. Travel comfortably by minibus as you leave Naples and head towards Pompeii.

Your first stop is a renowned local cameo shop. Discover the craftsmanship behind this traditional art, which has been part of Campania’s heritage for generations. Learn how these intricate pieces are created and see the techniques used by local artisans before continuing to Pompeii.

Upon arrival in Pompeii, enjoy skip-the-line access and meet your professional archaeological guide for a 2-hour guided tour. Walk through the remarkably preserved streets and discover some of the city’s most important sites, including the Roman Forum, Macellum (marketplace), thermal baths, and the famous brothel. Step inside frescoed homes and villas while learning about everyday life in this Roman city, buried under volcanic ash in 79 AD.

After your visit to Pompeii, stop for lunch at a nearby restaurant. The meal includes a tasting of traditional Italian pizza and a first course, giving you time to relax and enjoy some local flavors before heading to Mount Vesuvius.

In the afternoon, continue to Mount Vesuvius with a scenic 30-minute drive through the volcanic landscape. With priority access tickets, enter Vesuvius National Park and meet one of the licensed alpine guides who are part of the Vesuvius National Park team.

Follow the trail towards the crater while learning about the volcano’s geology, volcanic activity, and surrounding environment. You’ll spend approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes at Mount Vesuvius, including the walk to the crater and time to take in panoramic views over Naples, the islands, and the Bay of Naples.

After the visit, return to Naples by minibus. Your tour leader will accompany you during the journey back and remain available for any questions or assistance. Arrive at your designated drop-off point, bringing your day of history, local culture, and volcanic landscapes to an end.
