- This snowshoe hiking tour takes you up Shioya Maruyama in Shioya, Otaru City, Hokkaido, near Sapporo. A professional guide will provide lectures on key points for winter mountain hiking at every step. This tour is recommended for those who want to try winter mountain climbing or want to make their snowshoe debut. You will reach the summit via a different route than the summer trail. From the forest path, you will climb the ridge and aim for the 629m summit. A spectacular ocean view awaits you from the summit! After descending the mountain, you can stop by a nearby hot spring if you wish.
- Specialized equipment is available for free rental!
- Specialized equipment such as snowshoes and poles can be rented free of charge. In addition to the above, goggles, winter gloves, waterproof and cold-resistant outerwear, and waterproof and cold-resistant snow boots are available for rental at an additional cost. If you would like to rent for a fee, please let us know when you apply. The rental fees listed below are per item. Ski goggles (one size fits all), winter gloves: 500 yen; Cold-resistant and waterproof outerwear set (S-LL sizes): 2000 yen; Cold-resistant and waterproof shoes (21-29cm): 2000 yen

- Free transportation is available from in front of Sapporo Station or Otaru Station. You can participate by public transportation. Transportation is also available from accommodations around the station. The meeting and disbanding locations will generally be the same. If you meet in Otaru, you will disband in Otaru.
- Small group tours provide excellent support
- Tours are limited to small groups to ensure thorough support. The number of groups is limited to two, with a maximum of five people. As a measure against the coronavirus, alcohol disinfectant and disposable masks are provided in the shuttle bus.

What You Can Expect
1 Day
- 08:00. Registration at the meeting place. After registration is complete, move to the experience location. 9:00 Arrive at the experience location. Preparation 9:00~14:30 Experience time We will make our way to the summit, taking breaks and lectures along the way. (150 minutes) After a break at the summit, we will descend the way we came. (90 minutes) 16:00 After completing the descent, we will disband in front of Sapporo Station or Otaru Station.

Regarding cancellation of the event:
- Tours may be canceled before departure due to weather conditions or other force majeure reasons. In such cases, we will contact you as soon as possible. If the tour is canceled for the above reasons, there will be no cancellation fee. In addition, depending on weather conditions and other circumstances, we may change the course or schedule to ensure the safety of our guests. Please note that we cannot provide refunds, including all expenses, even if the original purpose of the tour is not achieved as a result.

- Cancellations 14 day(s) (inclusive) before the selected date are allowed. Unused orders can be canceled for free
- For cancellations made 8 to 13 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 30% will apply
- For cancellations made 2 to 7 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 50% will apply
- For cancellations made 1 to 1 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 80% will apply
- Cancellation is not allowed between 0–0 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
- Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy. Once your refund request is confirmed, KKday will initiate the refund to your original payment method within 15 days. The actual refund timing depends on your card-issuing bank’s policy.
