Around 10:00am Puffing Billy Steam Train ride begins~
Arrive around 9:50am, take the 10:00am train from Belgrave Station to Menzies Creek or Lakeside Station, ending at 10:30am. The ride lasts approximately 30 minutes (ticket included).
At the beginning of the last century, Victoria built four low-cost 762mm narrow-gauge lines to develop remote areas, and the Puffing Billy Railway was one of them. Opened on December 18, 1900, the line connected Upper Ferntree Gully and Gembrook, spanning 29 kilometers through forests, fern-filled valleys, and farmland. While the train no longer transports goods or livestock, it carries more passengers than ever before. Today, Puffing Billy is one of Australia's oldest and best-preserved steam railways in the world.
***Due to limited ticket availability, train times may vary daily. The driver/guide will adjust the ride time, itinerary sequence, and lunch location based on the actual train ticket time.
***On some dates, the train operator assigns us a 4:15pm departure time from Lakeside to Belgrave. For these dates, the city pickup time will be delayed to 9:00am, and the return time to Melbourne will be around 7:00pm. If you have booked a flight out of Melbourne, please ensure your departure time is after 9:30pm.
