- About Hakone Gora Park -
Since its opening in 1914 (Taisho 3), Gora Park has been characterized by its unique design utilizing the natural slope. It is Japan's first French-style formal garden, built symmetrically around its iconic Himalayan cedar and fountain.
With over 110 years of history, the park retains its timeless scenery, tea rooms, and seasonal flowers. In addition to cherry blossoms and autumn leaves, you can enjoy rhododendrons and azaleas in early spring, and a variety of spring and autumn roses in the 'Rose Garden' during May and October.
