Product Info
What is a 'Hongbao Chang' (Red Envelope Club)?
In the era before KTV, the internet, and streaming music, singing halls were an important form of popular entertainment in Taipei. Singers performed right in front of the audience, while patrons drank tea, chatted, and listened to the music. If you liked a singer, you expressed your support with applause and a red envelope. There was no distance of a grand stage between the singer and the audience. The red envelope was more than just a tip; it was a form of human connection.
