Head to Kaikōura, a coastal town that is known for the beautiful whales and pods of dolphins that pass by—as well as water activities such as snorkelling. Step onto a stylish catamaran specially designed for whale watching, and set sail!
Take out your binoculars to search for sperm whales, blue whales and dolphins. Be amazed by these gentle giants of the ocean as they come up for air, giving you a flick of their tails before they head below again.
Cruise past sea lions in their natural habitat, trace the curves of albatross soaring above, and if you're lucky, you might even see them diving for fish.

- The actual time on the water is up to 2.5 hours. Including check-in time and transfer by bus, guests are advised to allow 3.5 hours in total
- The tour operator does not offer food or refreshments onboard, however, please feel free to bring a light snack or cold drinks along with you which can be purchased at the Flukes Cafe. A water fountain is available onboard

Please arrive at the designated location 15 minute(s) before the scheduled departure time, as the tour will depart on time
In the event of adverse sea or weather conditions, the captain will announce possible cruise cancelation 10 minutes before sailing; if your tour is canceled, please advise on-site staff if you want to reschedule another tour
Please note that cruise time will be shortened in the event of adverse sea or weather conditions after departure; refunds or any form of compensation will not be granted
There is a 95% sighting rate, in the event that your tour does not see a whale, we will refund 85% of your fare
In the event of unfavourable conditions, the tour may be canceled.Guest are advised to contact the number provided on voucher to get the latest weather o=update from the tour operator
Cancellation Policy
- Once the order has been completed, it cannot be canceled, modified, or refunded
- Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy. Once your refund request is confirmed, KKday will initiate the refund to your original payment method within 15 days. The actual refund timing depends on your card-issuing bank’s policy.
