【Expo '70 Commemorative Park: Packed with Sightseeing, Fun, and Learning】 - EXPO '70 Pavilion -

Located in the eastern area of the Expo '70 Commemorative Park, the EXPO '70 Pavilion opened in 2010 as a memorial museum, utilizing the former Steel Pavilion from the 1970 Japan World Exposition (Osaka Expo). The annex was added in 2023, further expanding the exhibition space.

The main building's permanent exhibition hall spans approximately 2,000 square meters across two floors. Organized into 15 themes ranging from 'The Path to EXPO '70' to 'The World Expo That Lives On,' it allows visitors to carefully trace the enthusiasm and records of that era through roughly 3,000 items. The Space Theater, originally designed with the concept of the 'building as an instrument,' remains a highlight, showcasing the cutting-edge acoustic systems of the time (viewable through glass).

The annex displays the original 'Golden Mask' that once topped the Tower of the Sun and features a zone where visitors can experience the atmosphere of the Expo through video. Access to the annex is only available via the main building's tour route. The outdoor lawn in the courtyard features various photo spots, including a 1/100 scale model of the Grand Roof that once stretched from the Festival Plaza to the Plaza of the Sun, as well as several EXPO '70 monuments.

This ticket is for admission to the permanent exhibitions at the EXPO '70 Pavilion. A separate admission fee is required for entry to the Natural and Cultural Park and the Japanese Garden. Please pay this fee on-site.
High school students and older must purchase adult tickets. Junior high school students and younger are admitted free of charge only when accompanied by a guardian (no ticket purchase required).
Children under junior high school age must be accompanied by a guardian to enter the building.
Additional fees may apply during special exhibitions and planned exhibitions.
Admission is free for holders of various disability certificates, intellectual disability certificates, specific medical expense recipient certificates, etc., and one accompanying person. Please present your certificate at the reception desk.
