Whale watching is guaranteed; if you do not see any whales, you can get a full refund or reschedule your trip (whale watching guarantee period is from February 1, 2026 to March 15, 2026).

※No refunds or rescheduling are available outside the guarantee period if no whales are seen. ※A successful whale watching session is considered to be achieved if whales spout water or if two or more guests see whales on the day of the event.

If the following conditions are met, it will be considered a successful whale watching event. We apologize for any inconvenience.

  • Whales spouting water were seen from a distance.
  • More than two guests saw whales that day.


<Pre-event reminder>

  • The trip may be cancelled or the schedule may be changed due to weather conditions or the health conditions of other guests.
  • If the trip is cancelled due to weather conditions, the participation date can be changed free of charge.
  • The entire boat trip takes 3 hours, but if the whales are spotted earlier, we will return to port sooner. (Whale watching time is approximately 1 hour.)
  • Please bring your own waterproof and cold-weather gear on the day.
  • For guests who are prone to seasickness, it is recommended to take seasickness medication in advance.
  • For safety reasons, please wear a life jacket at all times.
  • Walking on the ship is prohibited while it is in motion.
  • On board, any behavior that violates safety regulations is prohibited.
  • Before registering, please be sure to assess your own health condition and carefully read the precautions.

Purchase Notice

  • Whale watching guaranteed: Full refund or rescheduling if no whales are seen (Guaranteed period: February 1, 2026 to March 15, 2026). ※Outside the guarantee period, no refund or rescheduling is available if no whales are seen. ※A successful whale watching session is considered complete if whales spout water or if two or more guests see whales.
  • Visitors participating in the Chatan whale watching tour are required to pay a 300 yen environmental protection tax upon registration. Please pay the tax in cash to the on-site staff on the day of registration.
  • Winter is when the waves in Okinawa are at their highest, so pregnant women cannot participate. As for infants, the captain will determine whether it is safe to board the boat based on the sea conditions that day.
  • Due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather and sea conditions, the whale watching tour may be cancelled on the day of the event. Users will be notified via the contact information provided. If the tour is cancelled due to weather conditions, participants can choose another day during their stay in Okinawa.

Reminders

  • A minimum of 15 traveler(s) are required for the tour to depart. If the number of participants does not reach the minimum requirement, the tour will be canceled. An email regarding tour cancellation will be sent 1 day(s) before the departure date

  • Travelers with the following conditions or other health issues that could be worsened by excessive stimulation should not participate in this activity: Pregnant women

  • You may be splashed by waves when watching whales. Please wear warm or waterproof clothes that you don't mind getting wet. Avoid wearing unstable shoes such as high heels. Be sure to wear a life jacket provided by the ship throughout the process.

  • Guests who are prone to seasickness are advised to take their own seasickness medicine in advance.

  • For your safety, please wear a life jacket at all times.

  • Passengers are asked to prepare raincoats and other cold-proof and waterproof supplies.

  • The entire activity is in Japanese.

  • Reservation restrictions: Pregnant women and people after drinking alcohol are not allowed to participate. If confirmed on-site, no refunds will be made, please be informed. Elderly people who are in wheelchairs or have limited mobility are not recommended to participate.

  • If you are unable to arrive at the meeting point on time on the same day, you will not be able to change the date and venue for free, and a 100% cancellation fee will be charged, so please allow enough time to arrive.

  • If the rain does not cause navigation difficulties, you can leave the port as usual even on rainy days. You can buy a raincoat on site at your own expense for about 300 yen. If the guest cancels because he does not want to participate on a rainy day, it will be deemed as a voluntary abandonment and no refund will be given.

  • Please note that the time may be subject to change depending on the status of whale tracking.

  • The winter sea conditions in Okinawa when whales visit are different from those in summer. The waves are higher in winter. If there are children who sign up to participate, the children may not be allowed to ride on the boat depending on the wave conditions on the day. We apologize for that.

  • Each person is required to pay an environmental protection tax of 300 yen upon registration. Please pay the tax in cash to the on-site staff on the day of registration.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations 6 day(s) (inclusive) before the selected date are allowed. Unused orders can be canceled for free
  • Cancellation is not allowed between 0–5 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
NOTE
  • Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy. Once your refund request is confirmed, KKday will initiate the refund to your original payment method within 15 days. The actual refund timing depends on your card-issuing bank’s policy.
