Informations sur le produit

Begin your walk in the Plaza de Armas at the Catedral de Puno, where your local guide reveals the city’s Andean-Baroque grandeur: carved native motifs, twin towers and gilded retablos that fuse Catholic and Andean symbolism. From the square we step into the Museo Municipal Carlos Dreyer, a compact, well-curated collection of pre-Inca pottery, chullpa models and textiles that illuminate the cultural threads woven through Puno’s streets and festivals. Next, take a short uphill stroll to Cerrito Huajsapata for a panoramic orientation—Lake Titicaca and the city below provide a striking visual map that will deepen your experience as you continue.

Descend to the Mercado Laykacota (Witches’ Market) to meet herbalists and family vendors who sell muña, coca and ritual offerings; learn how these living traditions support daily life and festival practice while we model respectful interaction and ethical buying. Continue to the Arco Deustua, an elegant 19th-century monument commemorating independence heroes—an excellent photo stop and a moment to link national history with local memory. Wander into Parque Pino, Puno’s social hub, where monuments, benches and façades invite people-watching and a brief refreshment pause. Conclude at Iglesia San Juan Bautista, a beloved parish tied to the Virgen de la Candelaria devotion: when open we enter quietly to observe altarpieces and learn about procession routes, music and costume that animate the city each February.
