Heraklion: Scuba Diving for Beginners & Sailing Experience｜Greece

1st Activity: Dive into a new adventure and discover the underwater world with this scuba experience designed especially for first-timers. No prior experience is needed— just your curiosity and sense of adventure. Your journey begins with approximately 45 minutes of theoretical training led by a certified, experienced, and licensed local instructor. During this session, you’ll learn the basics of scuba diving, including how to properly use your equipment, essential safety rules, breathing techniques, and underwater communication through hand signals. You’ll also get introduced to the fascinating marine life of Ligaria and what to expect beneath the surface.

After your training, enjoy around 45 minutes in the water, where you will practice everything you’ve learned under the close supervision of your instructor. Experience the incredible sensation of breathing and moving freely underwater as you explore the crystal-clear waters of Crete. Observe marine life up close and immerse yourself in a peaceful and unique environment. Throughout the dive, your instructor will be by your side, ensuring your comfort and safety at all times.
This activity is designed for small groups.

2nd Activity: Continue your day with a relaxing and memorable Sailing experience to the natural island of Dia aboard our comfortable sailing yachts, guided by our experienced crew. We depart from Heraklion’s Old Venetian Harbor, where you can admire the historic Venetian fortress as your journey begins.

If weather conditions allow, we will sail with the wind, offering you the magical experience of true sailing. The journey to Dia Island takes approximately 1 hour and 10–20 minutes, depending on weather conditions. Along the way, our captain and host(ess) will share interesting information about the island’s history and are happy to answer any questions you may have about Crete.

Upon arrival, you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the crystal-clear waters. Swim, snorkel with the equipment we provide, or try paddleboarding. Relax on board with a refreshing drink and take in the stunning natural surroundings. During the trip, we will serve light meal - pasta with pesto sauce.

When it’s time to depart Dia Island, we begin our return journey, sailing again if weather conditions permit. As the day comes to an end, enjoy a beautiful sunset on the way back to Heraklion—an unforgettable highlight of your experience.

Upon arrival at the port, we will escort you back to the meeting point or arrange your transfer if selected. For your convenience, a transfer service (pickup & dropoff) from places along the coast between Fodele & Malia is available if the transfer option is selected.
