Informations sur le produit

Please kindly recheck the pickup details, meeting point, and session time stated on the voucher for your selected package.

This walk invites you to behold a wild and scenic side of Evia, where nature commands your full attention and time slows just enough to breathe in every vista.

What You’ll Experience

Trailhead at the top mountain hut: The day begins facing the North face of Dirfys, on the forested foothills of the mountain. Lace-up your boots and prepare to walk downstream, into a gorge carved by nature over millennia.

Forest-and-water symphony: Follow the stream’s path as broad-leaf plane trees, firs and pines line the way. Listen for the rush of water, feel the cool shade, and notice how the flora shifts as elevation climbs.

Bridges and niches: Cross slender metal foot-bridges spanning the brook in its deeper stretches. Pause at the stone-built fountain of Kratia Spring where cold water flows under a giant plane tree-shade—a serene moment of nature’s design.

Scenic descent: You will descend through alpine vegetation toward the lower reaches of the gorge and Mount Dirfys towards the plateau to the village, witnessing dramatic changes in terrain and tone.
Immersive wilderness: This isn’t just a walk; it’s an immersion: wild herbs scenting the air (thyme, oregano, rosemary), rugged rock surfaces, intermittent waterfalls, and the hum of solitude.

Why You’ll Love It

A wild corridor yet accessible: Among the more dramatic gorge experiences on Evia, yet manageable for many hikers who are comfortable with uneven terrain.
Rich gradients of nature: From young woodland to overhanging cliffs, the variety of ecosystems impressed even seasoned hikers.
Photographer’s-delight: High rock walls, shafts of light through foliage, water reflections — great for memorable photos.
Seasonal beauty: Spring wildflowers, summer shade and cool stream pockets, autumn colours in the leaves—each time of year offers a fresh “face” of the gorge.
