Join a beginner-friendly workshop in the vibrant Gazi neighborhood of Athens and create your own handmade evil eye mosaic souvenir to take home with you.

Discover the famous “mati”, the evil eye symbol that is loved in Greek culture and often used as a charm for protection, good energy, and good luck. With step-by-step guidance from your instructor, design and decorate your own small mosaic piece using colorful tiles, mainly in classic Greek shades of blue, white, turquoise, and black.

Work on a small wooden base, such as a hanging plaque or mini frame, and create your own evil eye design using mosaic tiles, adhesive, and simple tools. Your instructor will guide you through the process, from choosing your colors and layout to placing the tiles and finishing your piece.

The workshop takes place indoors at The Art Lab, only a short walk from Kerameikos metro station, in one of Athens’ most artistic neighborhoods. It is ideal for solo travelers, couples, friends, families, small groups, and visitors who enjoy creative experiences.
