Informations sur le produit

Strasbourg: The Highlights with Anecdotes – A premium active and fun running tour with Yann, your official licensed local live guide. Dogs welcome!

Ready for a unique experience that combines sport and culture? Let your licensed and passionate guide lead you on a 10-kilometer running circuit lasting approximately 3 hours, depending on the pace of the group. Forget the classic tours: with this package, you'll discover the must-sees of Strasbourg in half a day, which would take a full day on foot!

As soon as we meet (look for my yellow and black cap or my yellow beanie, depending on the weather) next to the bronze 3D model of Strasbourg Cathedral in the Place du Château, immerse yourself in a living narrative where historical facts and little stories intertwine.

This dynamic tour is designed for intermediate-level runners, at a moderate pace of about 1.5 hours of running. The rest of the time is dedicated to breaks, during which you will learn about the history of the city through my commentary and anecdotes.

The program for your athletic discovery:

- From the cathedral to the Orangerie (about 4 km)
We start our journey towards the magnificent Parc de l'Orangerie. We will walk along the Quai des Bateliers and the Quai des Pêcheurs, admiring the imposing Palais Universitaire before heading down the verdant Avenue de la Forêt-Noire. On this leg, I will share with you anecdotes about the cathedral and the town center, before crossing the park to reach the Palais de l'Europe.

- From the European institutions to the Neustadt (about 3.3 km)
This leg is dedicated to the European Institutions district and the imperial district. We will pass by the Palais de l'Europe, the Parliament and the European Court for Human Rights, then we will slip into the surprising Cité-jardin Ungemach. We will take the Quai de Rouget de l'Isle to the Church of Saint-Paul, a Neo-Gothic jewel on the waterfront. Finally, Avenue de la Liberté will lead us to Republic Square, where you will discover the history of the great imperial monuments such as the Palais du Rhin and the National Library.

- The Old Town and its secrets (about 3.2 km)
We will finish in style with a stroll through the historic center. From Place de la République to Place Kléber, I will introduce you to the origins of La Marseillaise and the history of local guilds. We will then explore the picturesque Petite France quarter, with the colorful anecdote behind its name. The tour ends with the defensive structures of the Ponts Couverts and the Vauban Dam, then with the Pont du Corbeau ("Bridge of Executions") for a final, frightening story.

- A personalized ending
We will finish our run at the foot of the cathedral. I will remain available to answer your questions and provide my best personalized recommendations for your stay. With me, Strasbourg becomes a story that you experience and remember.
