Informations sur le produit

Join a guided clear kayak tour on the Weeki Wachee River and estuary during manatee season, from November 15 to March 31. This is the time of year when the area sees the greatest number of manatees using the warmer spring-fed waters as refuge. From your transparent kayak, enjoy a clear view of the water below while exploring one of Florida’s best places to observe these animals in their natural habitat.

Paddle through the estuary and surrounding waterways where three springs converge: Mud Spring, Salt Spring, and Weeki Wachee Springs. Your guide adjusts the route based on the day’s conditions to visit the areas where manatee sightings are most likely. Along the way, learn more about manatee biology, behavior, and the importance of protecting them from threats such as boat traffic, pollution, littering, and harassment.

This tour is led by guides with additional training through Save the Manatee Club’s Guardian Guides Certification, a voluntary education and recognition program for Florida ecotourism providers that support manatee stewardship. The operator also donates $1 per guest and $1 per review toward manatee conservation. The experience finishes back at the starting point after about 2 hours on the water.
