Product Info

Before Kennebunkport became known for its boutique hotels, charming shops, and award-winning restaurants, it was a humble settlement that grew into one of the most important shipbuilding and commerce ports on the East Coast. Later, this seaside town evolved into a hardworking, blue-collar fishing village, where generations of families made their living from the ocean.

Kennebunkport’s story took another turn when the Bush family established their summer home just a few miles away, putting this Maine coastal town firmly on the map as a world-famous summer tourist destination.

On this historic walking tour of Kennebunkport, step back in time and explore all these eras — from the bustling shipyards and fishing docks to the rise of tourism and presidential history. As you stroll through the town’s scenic streets, experience how each chapter shaped the Kennebunkport we know and love today.
