Product Info

On this beautiful and rewarding snowshoe hike, a true Apennine classic with a loop route, we will discover some of the most fascinating places in the Simbruini Mountains Regional Natural Park! We will set off from Livata, in the Monna dell'Orso area (alt. 1620 m), the site of many winter activities and more, and we will cross the snow-covered meadows and magnificent tall beech forests that characterize the entire first part of the route. We will then tackle the fairly easy ascent to the summit of Mount Autore (1,855 m), one of the highest peaks of the Simbruini Mountains, from which we will enjoy a stunning 360° view stretching over all the mountain ranges over 2,000 meters high in the Central Apennines! Finally, on the way back, we will take some pleasant off-trail detours that will allow us to admire the lesser-known corners of the dense beech forests that will characterize the natural scenery of the last part of the route.
