Product Info

If you have decided to visit Spello, you can't miss this tour!
Just outside the walls of the medieval city, we will begin a picturesque route along the path that runs along the slopes of Mount Subasio, retracing the ancient Roman aqueduct that remained in operation until 1900 to bring water to the city of Spello.
The route does not present any major difficulties, but since it is a narrow dirt path intended only for hiking, it necessarily requires the use of our mountain bikes with electric motors. In any case, our cycling guide will assist us at all times to make this hike enjoyable and safe.
As soon as the tour begins, we will be able to admire the Roman remains of the ancient aqueduct, which are still very well preserved, while the path, which is mostly flat but elevated above the main valley, offers one of the most evocative views of Umbria, including the city of Spello from above, the hills of Montefalco, and the magnificent olive groves typical of the Umbrian countryside.
After a few kilometers where we will experience the pleasure of cycling in absolute freedom, we will reach the highest point of our tour: the castle of Collepino,
an ancient medieval hamlet made up of small stone houses and narrow alleys where it will be fun to browse and imagine the history of those who lived here.
We will resume the return route on an easy country road until we reach our starting point in Spello.
