Family tour in Salerno's historic old town with Trotula｜Italy

Get ready for a special walk in the heart of Salerno, designed for both adults and children! Together, we'll learn about the fascinating story of Trotula de Ruggiero, a brave and revolutionary woman who treated people with herbs and extraordinary medical knowledge in the Middle Ages. We will walk through the old alleys, like little explorers of the past, listening to curious tales, legends and anecdotes that will make each stop an adventure.

We will start from the historic old town and pass through charming places such as hidden squares, ancient porticoes, and the sites of the Salerno Medical School. Children will be able to imagine what life was like in the Middle Ages, learn about natural remedies used by the "medichesse" (female healers), and discover the courage of women of the past.
