Product Info

Discover the basics of hand building pottery in a fun, outdoor ceramics session designed for beginners and curious creatives alike. Meet your instructor at the Open Your Art container space and start with a clear introduction to working with clay, with a step by step guide on how to form your pinch pot, and learn how pottery is formed and shaped.

Then it’s your turn. Get hands-on with the process as your instructor guides you step by step and shares practical tips. Ask questions throughout and build confidence as you try techniques yourself while receiving supportive, personalized coaching in a small-group setting.

This experience takes place outside, so plan for sun and the occasional breeze. Wear comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting a little clay on, and consider bringing sunscreen, sunglasses, and a light layer if it turns windy or cooler.

Because pottery needs time to dry and be fired, you typically won’t be able to take home the exact piece you make on the day. Firing usually takes 4–6 weeks, and if you choose to ship your finished piece later, shipping is paid separately. Want a souvenir right away? After class, you can browse and purchase finished pottery on-site to take home the same day. If you’d like to linger, the surrounding container village often has additional activities, making it easy to turn your class into a longer visit.
